About this project
Dave’s Manual have hired me four times since the end of May 2026: two music videos, five vertical cut-downs for social, and a live beer-garden set. “Electrical” arrived half cut and stalled — I picked it up where it stopped, cut the rest of the song to match what was already there, and delivered five versions of the ending to choose from. When the band’s notes came back, we rebuilt the video from the raw footage, not the old cut.
The second video, “Alone Tonight”, opens on a 24-second scripted dock scene and drops the song on the punchline. It’s finished, and the band also have it as a Resolve project they can open themselves — both timelines, every clip, a marker on each shot saying why it is there. That’s four jobs in ten weeks, with no contract.
- One finished music video — "Electrical" 2 minutes 37, 3840 × 2160, with five alternate cuts of its back half to choose from
- Five vertical cut-downs for social 1080 × 1920 — three hooks of 5–12s and two longer cuts of 19–32s, all at one loudness
- A second music video — "Alone Tonight" 68 shots at 2 minutes 56, a hand-cut 24-second scripted opening, drone and handheld
- The whole edit handed over as a Resolve project both timelines, every clip, a marker on each shot saying why it is there
- A live beer-garden set 13 vertical clips in; five full songs to the band, eight 45-second clips for my own feed
